One of the biggest films in development at present, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Darbar has already generated massive curiosity and excitement among fans as it marks the first time association for the versatile veteran actor with director A. R. Murugadoss.

Announced to be coming out in theatres as a Pongal 2020 release, Darbar, which also includes Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar as the antagonist, is being produced by Lyca Productions with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music, Santosh Sivan for the cinematography, editing by Sreekar Prasad, T. Santanam for the art direction, the Ram-Laxman duo for the stunt choreography, lyrics by Vivek and Niharikha Bhasin Khan in charge of the costume designs department.

With filming underway over the past few days at Mumbai, Lyca Productions has now officially announced on their social networking pages that actress Nayanthara lovingly called as the 'Lady Superstar' has joined the sets of Darbar starting today.

It must be noted that this is the fourth occasion Nayanthara will be seen in a Rajinikanth film after their previous collaborations in Chandramukhi (2005), Sivaji (2007) and Kuselan (2008).

Expectations for Darbar have been sky-high ever since details regarding the upcoming mass commercial action entertainer first surfaced and went up a notch higher after the film’s first look was released a few days back to a thunderous response from fans.
