‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth is a happy man after his Kaala is performing exceptionally well at the box office.
Prior to the release of Kaala, Rajinikanth left for Darjeeling to join the production for his upcoming film tentatively being called, Thalaivar 165, under Karthik Subbararaj’s direction with Sun Pictures producing it.
In the meantime, there has been chatter among fans as to what Rajinikanth has planned next once he finishes Thalaivar 165.
It is now believed Rajinikanth will be doing a film with ace filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss before diving into politics full time.
The talk about them collaborating together for a film has been doing the rounds for quite some time now with Rajinikanth reportedly giving his nod to be part of the project after meeting A. R. Murugadoss recently.
It now remains to be if this speculated project will indeed be Rajinikanth’s farewell film before taking the plunge in the political arena.
As for Rajinikanth’s next release, the highly anticipated mammoth action sci-fi film, 2.0, with Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson under Shankar’s direction produced by Lyca Productions banner with music by A. R. Rahman is speculated for a release in 2019.
AR Murugadoss is also at present quite busy filming the much awaited Thalapathy 62 with Vijay, Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar with the aim of a Diwali release in November.
