Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Badla released recently that opened up to highly positive reviews from the critics and the audience. The film received a great reception at the box office and the collections are on a steady rise. When a new release becomes the talk of the town, it is obvious to see remakes of the film happening in various other languages. On that note, we had reported that Badla is all set to be remade in Tamil with Trisha reprising Taapsee's role. BOFTA's Founder and producer Dhananjayan has acquired the remake rights of this film.

We now have some interesting details about the director of this film. If our sources are to be believed, director Radhamohan will be at the helm for this remake. His last film, Kaatrin Mozhi was also a remake, of the Hindi film, Tumhari Sulu. Kaatrin Mozhi fetched good reviews from the audience and the critics and the core essence of the film wasn't lost in this Tamil remake. With his previous remake turning out to be a positive success, it looks justifiable.

Co-incidentally, Dhananjayan was the producer of that film as well. However, the project is said to be in its very nascent stages and we will have to wait for an official word on this. As for Trisha, the evergreen diva has films like Garjanai, 1818, Paramapadham Vilaiyattu, and an untitled film co-starring Simran, and all the said films are in different stages of production.
