R.K. speaks about Puli Vesham

After the roaring success of Aptha Rakshaka (Kannada) at the box office, director P. Vasu is all set to start his next project Puli Vesham with RK in the lead role. The film is expected to narrate the journey of an innocent youth from village to city. Charming beauty Sada and debutante Divya play the female leads and Srikanth Deva has scored the music for the film.

RK dons the role of a rowdy in the film. “Puli Vesham is my third movie and I’m very excited. It’s not every day that one gets to act under the direction of P. Vasu sir, a commercially and critically successful director. I’m lucky to work with him in my third film, after Ellam Avan Seyal and Azhagar Malai,” said RK to a leading English daily.

“Vasu sir was looking for an upcoming hero to play the lead in the film. When he asked me, I accepted the offer immediately. A lot of youngsters come to Chennai in the hope of making it big. But they aren’t aware of the difficulties they have to face in the city. They’re forced to live a mechanical life. They put on a mask to hide their emotions and lead two lives -- one for themselves and another for the world. This is what Puli Vesham is all about,” he added.

Asked about his role in the film, the actor said, “I play a rowdy and Karthik plays an encounter specialist in the film. It’s a wonderful feeling to act with an established actor like Karthik.”
