Even as many films are gearing up to release for Pongal, another film that joins the race is Puthagam. Puthagam, directed by debutant Vijay Adhiraj, stars Arya’s brother Sathya and Rakul Preet in the lead roles. Music has been composed by James Vasanthan and lyrics penned down by Na Muthukumar. The film is produced by Dr. V Ramadoss. The story of the film, which is touted to be a romantic film,revolves around a book containing secrets. Rakul Preet, who made her debut with Thadayara Thaaka plays a journalist in the film. Though the film has been finalized to release for Pongal, the exact date is yet to be announced. Other movies in line for release are Vishwaroopam, Alex Pandian and Samar, Kanna Ladoo Thinna Aasaiya.
