Priyamani in Telugu Naadodigal
Unlike her usual glamorous roles in Telugu films, reigning actress Priyamani will be soon seen in a performance-oriented role in Tollywood's much-discussed remake of Tamil super hit Naadodigal, to be directed by Samuthirakani.
This talented actress, who bagged the National Award�(Best Actress) for her stunning performance in Paruthiveeran, will handle the role played by Ananya in the original, while Ravi Teja will don Sasikumar's role. Allari Naresh and Navdeep will appear as Revi Teja's friends. Notably, Sasikumar, the hero in the Tamil version, will debut in Telugu with a cameo.
Released on June 26, Naadodigal is still running to packed houses at 168 centres in Tamil Nadu and according to the distributors, the film is expected to gross more than Rs. 30 crore when it completes 100 days. Inspired by the immense positive response from audiences, Samuthirakani will soon remake the film in Hindi and Kannada, besides Telugu.
