Two weeks back, many across the country were unaware about a young 18 year old girl named Priya Prakash Varrier. That was until the song "Manikya Malarayi Poovi" from the upcoming Malayalam film, Oru Adaar Love, went viral.

Not only did she win over an entire generation with her cute expressions, she rose to the top of the celebrity status in quick time garnering over 4.5 million followers on her Instagram page.

It must be noted Priya Prakash Varrier also surpassed Bollywood actor Sunny Leone to become the most-searched person on Google.

Meanwhile, last week also saw a FIR being filed against the "Manikya Malarayi Poovi" song citing the lyrics when translated in English were hurting Muslim sentiments as it had an insulting tone against Prophet Mohammed.

On the other hand, Priya Prakash Varrier, had approached the Supreme Court against a First Information Report (FIR) filed against her and the director of the film for which the Apex Court will now hear her plea tomorrow (February 21) after her lawyer requested an urgent hearing.

In her plea, Priya is seeking the quashing of the FIR and four complaints against her and Oru Adaar Love’s director Omar Lulu in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, respectively.

The actress' lawyer later in a statement said the song has been there for nearly forty years and that no complaint had come up until now in Kerala, but an FIR was filed in Andhra Pradesh and four complaints in Maharashtra.

We will have to wait and see what the Supreme Court’s verdict will be tomorrow.
