Prithviraj to endorse Kalyan Silks
Young superstar Prithviraj has agreed to be the ambassador of Thrissur-based Kalyan Silks, a leading player in the retail textiles segment in Kerala. The actor unveiled the new logo of Kalyan Silks in a press conference on Friday in Kochi.
Announcing Kalyan Silks' foray into international markets, chairman and managing director T.S. Pattabhiraman said their expansion plans would be powered by a capital investment of Rs. 500 crores in the coming years. "The year 2012 will witness Kalyan Silks' foray into the international market. Showrooms will be opened in Dubai, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia in the first phase," he said.
The group already has showrooms at Thrissur, Kochi, Palakkad and Kozhikode. By the third week of March, Kalyan Silks' Kannur showroom will become operational. In May, Kalyan Silks will reopen the renovated Palace Road showroom to its hometown after adding another 30,000 sq ft of shopping space. The new corporate office-cum-wholesale showroom will be inaugurated in Thrissur in late May. By the end of this year, Kalyan Silks will add three more showrooms to its portfolio by opening outlets in Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram and Thiruvalla, Pattabhiraman added.
