Ever since it was announced that acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj was making a silent film with Prabhudeva, the excitement shot up sky-high.
Titled Mercury, the film is said to be a silent thriller with no dialogues throughout the course of its runtime.
Produced under the Stone Bench Films and Pen Studios banners with music by Santhosh Narayanan, Mercury features Remya Nambeesan as the female lead.
The film will reportedly revolve around a group of college kids being haunted by an evil spirit in the form of Prabhudeva.
Meyaadha Maan fame Indhuja too is said to be playing a vital role in the film.
Meanwhile, Karthik Subbaraj took to his Twitter page moments back to officially announce Mercury would hit screens on April 13, 2018.

Mercury is the fourth film for Karthik Subbaraj after delivering successive critical hits starting with Pizza in 2012.
He then went on to follow it up with the blockbuster, Jigarthanda.
The young filmmaker then brought to us his Iraivi, which went on to reap critical acclaim from all corners of the film industry as well as among fans.
With such a stellar record and an unconventional film in the form of Mercury, we can expect the film to be a cracker of a treat this Tamil New Year.
