Ponnambalam forays into TV
Character and villain actor Ponnambalam is foraying into TV with the Tamil serial 'Nagavalli'. Of his decision to enter the small screen when his movie career is still on a high, the roly poly actor said he liked the character of Rakthabeejan, which is a big hit among the children. The ongoing serial's popularity in a satellite channel is the strong reason for accepting the role, says Ponnambalam.
The actor hoped it would be his first and last serial, conscious of the fact that an actor is not accepted in movies once he enters television. Ponnambalam is now busy finalizing the script for his home production Idiyudun Kudia Mazhai directed by him. "There are other movies to keep me busy for the calendar year," says this actor known for his characteristic dialogue delivery.
