Slated for a release tomorrow (May 11), the action thriller Irumbu Thirai starring Vishal in the lead role under debutant PS Mithran’s direction with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja has now cleared a legal hurdle.
A Mr. Natarajan had filed a plea against Irumbu Thirai under the claim the film had shown the Aadhar Card process in a negative light and requested the controversial scenes about the said issue be removed.
When the case had come for hearing, the Madras High Court had dismissed the case stating the film had passed the censor process and the CBFC would have raised objections if there were any.
Irumbu Thirai has big names in its cast starting with actress Samantha as the female lead.
Furthermore, the film said to be a cyber crime thriller and produced under the Vishal Film Factory banner will also feature actor Arjun as the antagonist.
