A while back, a petitioner named Rajashekaran had filed a case in the Madras High Court against 'Superstar' Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Kaala, under the claims the title and the story-line were his and, that they were lifted by director Pa. Ranjith.

When the case had come for hearing yesterday, the High Court had dismissed Rajashekharan’s case stating the petitioner didn’t have necessary proof that justified his claims.

This new development will no doubt come as a huge sign of relief for the entire Kaala team who will now want to carry forward with kick-starting the promotions for the film soon.

Produced under Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films banner with music by Santhosh Narayanan, Kaala initially announced for an April 27 release is now being reported to arrive on screens most likely in June as a Ramzan release.

The action gangster film includes an ensemble acting talent in the form of Nana Patekar as the antagonist, Huma Qureshi as the female lead alongside Samuthirakani, Easwari Rao, Shayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, Ravi Kale, Aravind Akash, Sakshi Agarwal among others.
