Kazhugu was a 2012 comedy thriller movie, written and directed by a debutant Sathyasiva, starring Krishna, Bindu Madhavi, Karunas, Jayaprakash and Thambi Ramaiah to name a few. Based on real-life incidents, and shot in real locations, the movie opened to mixed reviews. It was a Yuvan Shankar Raja musical. Kazhagu 2 was long back announced and today (17 July), on marking Krishna's birthday the teaser was released by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The sequel is bankrolled by Singaravelan, under the banner Madukkur Movie Makers. Check out the video, below!

Kazhugu 2 will have the camera cranked by Raja Bhattacharjee and the editing will be handled by Gopi Krishna. Krishna was last seen in Maari 2, essaying a role called Kalai and has a movie titled, Graghanam co-starring Chandran and Nandini Rai, directed by "Pyaar Prema Kaadhal" fame Elan. Unfortunately the movie was delayed and had moved on to Thiru Kural, which is under post-production. He would also be debuting in Malayalam cinema through the movie Picasso.
