We all know that S. Madhan of Vendhar Movies has acquired the rights of Paagan for a whopping price. The film has Srikanth and Janani Iyer in lead roles. The film, directed by Ameer's assistant Aslam, is a romantic comedy produced by Vishwas and V. Purushotham under their newly formed banner VP Productions. Now the latest is that the team is planning to have a grand audio launch in Chennai on September 1. STR, Jayam Ravi, Arun Vijay, Namitha, Sibiraj, Ameer, Jananathan, Prabhu Solomon, Venkat Prabhu and many other leading directors are likely to grace the event.
After Kaanchana, Kovai Sarala will play a prominent role (that of hero's mother) in this film. Suri (of Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu fame) and Pandi (of Angaadi Theru) will also appear in important roles. In fact they have sung a kuthu number in this film.
James Vasanthan is the music director while Lakshman handles the camera. Kevin, a former assistant of Anthony is making his debut as editor in the film. The film is slated for a September release.
