One of the most acclaimed filmmaker, Pa. Ranjith has gone on to carve a niche for himself in the Tamil film industry with his films Attakathi, Madras, Kabali and Kaala. The hit director also went on to launch his own production banner, Neelam Productions, which struck gold last year with the social drama, Pariyerum Perumal, in terms of critical and commercial success.

As for his own next film as a director, Pa. Ranjith is all set to make his debut in Bollywood for the Namah Pictures banner and will be making a biopic based on the life of Jharkhand tribal leader, Birsa Munda, who fought against British colonials in the early 19th century.

On the production front, Pa. Ranjith announced his second production venture, Irandaam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu, which wrapped up its filming in quick time under debutant Athiyan Aathirai's direction with Dinesh Ravichandran and Anandhi in the lead roles.

Now, Ranjith is set to begin his third production venture under his Neelam Productions banner in association with Badri Kasthuri's Shraddha Entertainment and will be featuring Kalaiyarasan and Aravind Aakash in the lead roles, which will also serve as the launchpad for Suresh Mari as a director in Tamil cinema.
