One of the biggest films in development at present, Selvaraghavan’s NGK starring Suriya in the lead role under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja was initially announced for a Diwali release.
Ever since the NGK second look was unveiled, fans have been wondering whether the upcoming action political thriller would make it to screens as planned earlier.
That said, an official announcement has now come from the makers themselves stating NGK will not be coming out this Diwali with a new release date announcement to be made soon.

This will no doubt come as a big disappointment for Selvaraghavan and Suriya fans everywhere as they have been awaiting the release of NGK amidst high expectations.
NGK includes actress Sai Pallavi as the female lead and the film will be her first Tamil film opposite a big star as Suriya.
Furthermore, Rakul Preet Singh, who has been scaling heights in Tamil cinema in recent times also has a crucial role in the film.
As a result, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Sarkar being directed by A. R. Murugadoss under the Sun Pictures banner with A. R. Rahman's music and Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the female lead is the only Tamil film slated for a Diwali release.
