Narain injured while shooting for Thambikkottai

Popular Malayalam-Tamil actor Narain, who is making a comeback to the silver screen after his Anjathe (2008), was injured in an accident�in Thanjavur during the shoot of his forthcoming Tamil film Thambikkottai and hospitalized immediately.

According to sources, a bridge erected by the art director cum director Ammu Ramesh with a whopping one crore, collapsed when a crucial part of the climax scene of the film was being canned. Narain fell from the bridge and suffered some minor injuries. Insiders say that the�plot of the film revolves around the bridge.

Thambikkottai is based on a true story that occurred�in a town located between Thambikkottai and Pattukkottai. Poonam Bajwa dons the role of a plus 2 student while Prabhu and Meena have substantial roles.

Also in the cast are Sangitha, Kausalya, Aarthi, M.S. Bhaskar, Santhanam, Ganja Karuppu, Manobala, Alex, Rajendran, Crane Manohar and Muthukalai. D. Imman is composing the music and Kannan handles the camera.
