National Award-winning filmmaker Bala and his films have evoked a big talk the moment an announcement is made.

Likewise, his upcoming film, Naachiyaar releasing on February 16 jointly produced under his B Studios and Eon Studios banners with music by 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja has left fans talking as expected.

The film has been confirmed to be the shortest in Bala's career with a runtime of 100 minutes, which comes around 1 hour and 40 minutes. This is quite different from all of the acclaimed director’s previous films, which have clocked in over 2 hours in duration.

In addition, reports state the climax in Naachiyaar will be quite different from Bala's other films till date and fans will have an experience unlike anything before in this film.

As for the cast, composer turned G V Prakash is said to be playing an offbeat role in the film.

Naachiyaar brings together Bala and actor Jyothika as a tough cop for the first time in their illustrious careers.

It must be known that Bala and Jyothika’s husband Suriya collaborated on three previous occasions in films namely Nandha in 2001, Pithamagan in 2003 and Avan Ivan in 2011, in which he played a cameo.

Whether Naachiyaar will once again bring Bala the success and adulation after his Tharai Thappattai failed to make a big impression shall be known when the film arrives in theatres this Friday.
