Arya's younger brother Sathya is all set to make his on screen entry with Puthagam, directed by TV star Vijay Adhiraj. Rakul Preet Singh plays the leading lady. James Vasanthan is the music director and Santhanabharathi's son Sanjay Krishna also plays a prominent role in the film. The film is produced by V. Ramadoss under his banner Ram Pictures. Gemini Audio has bagged the music rights of the film.
The album begins with the peppy and foot tapping 'Kondadathaan' sung by Tippu, Rahul and Sunandan. Then comes the romantic duet 'Mella Pookkudhe', rendered by Bellie Raj and Deepa Miriam. A slow and subtle track. 'Italica' is a solo track crooned by Mathangi. It is a pub number with a heavy western instrumentation. 'Say That You Love Me' is a medium-paced romantic number sung by Suchitra and Prasad, while the last track 'Money Is So Funny' by Gerard and Maya sounds more like a AQUA song.
