Chinmayi has been an active participant in the MeToo controversy who never failed to raise her voice against industry big wigs and people who tried to misbehave with the fellow working women. To add up to the fuel, veteran actor Radharavi passed a derogatory comment on actress Nayanthara which took the Tamil film fraternity by shock and anger.

With things like this happening around the industry, Chinmayi questioned actress Radikaa Sarathkumar about one of the episodes from her serial Vani Rani. According to Chinmayi, she says that the MeToo movement is used as a blackmailing technique in the serial and has questioned the need for that. She also expressed her disappointment over the same.

Chinmayi shared the YouTube link of that particular episode and tweeted, "@realradikaa Respected Ma’am You have worked really hard to be successful in the industry. You, as a woman, would definitely how powerful men harass women & the trauma. Why did you portray the #MeToo movement as a blackmailing tactic in Vani Rani maam?".

Radikaa responded to Chinmayi stating that she has always been concerned about the women working in the industry and has also stood for everyone's rights. She requested Chinmayi to meet her at the office if the content of the serial had hurt her in someway. "I have been in this industry for a long time and stood up for everyone’s rights, specially when it concerned women, which everyone in the industry know.If you have any clarification’s on the content of above mentioned serial, pls feel free to meet me in my office.", replied Radikaa.

Both of them concluded the interaction on Twitter on mutual respect with maturity. The link shared by Chinmayi can be seen below:
