In addition, it is said that the film would be jointly produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions after their collaboration in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam turned out to be quite fruitful.

It also remains to be seen who the music composer for the Ponniyin Selvan film will be as there are reports that say 96 fame Govind Vasantha is being eyed with an official confirmation now awaited.
