National Award-winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy’s upcoming film, Maamanithan, stars ‘Makkal’ Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in the lead roles. Being produced by YSR Films, the upcoming film, which has music by ‘Isaignani’ Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja was recently being shot at Alappuzha in Kerala.


Meanwhile, an elderly woman named Kavalam Achamma had approached Vijay Sethupathi after he had filmed Maamanithan saying she was poverty-stricken and had no money to buy medicines. Upon hearing her plight, the acclaimed actor handed over whatever money he had in his wallet.

That said, Kavalam Achamma had fainted and fell to the ground after which she was rushed to a nearby Taluk hospital in Changanacherry where she was pronounced that she had passed away. Soon after, the news had surfaced that she is a veteran actress and had previously starred in a few Malayalam film including Jayaram’s Njan Salperu Ramankutty.
