The Suriya and Keerthy Suresh starrer Thaanaa Serndha Koottam too is hitting screens this Friday.
Prabhudeva's black comedy, Gulaebaghavali, also starring Hansika is one of the releases this weekend.
Bhaskar Oru Rascal, the Arvind Swami and Amala Paul starrer was announced to be a Pongal release, but has since backed out of the race this week and is now said to be a January release.
In the midst of this, Vijayakanth’s son, Shanmuga Pandian’s Madura Veeran, was given a clean U certificate by the CBFC has now reportedly opted out of coming out on screens this week. It is now said the film will hit screens later this month and a new release date is expected to be announced soon.
Meanwhile, Kalakalappu 2 is said to have been sent to the censor board yesterday and reports state the film is not part of the upcoming Pongal release line up and will come out only on a later date this month.
As of now, we have three films that are en route to getting released this Pongal.
