For well over two years, actor Dhanush’s name has been dragged through a legal battle involving the debate on his parentage.
The news came to the limelight when an old couple from Madurai, Kathiresan and Meenakshi, had filed a case at Chennai High Court’s Madurai branch.
Dhanush was previously asked to produce documents to prove he wasn’t their offspring as they had claimed to be.
Meanwhile, the Court delivered a judgment today in Dhanush’s paternity case by dismissing it altogether.
The Court further established the documents provided by Dhanush were indeed original and that he was not born to Kathiresan and Meenakshi as they have been stating for these past two years.
In addition, the Court advised Kathiresan and Meenakshi to approach the institutions that had issued them documents such as the birth certificate and the school transfer certificate.
It must be noted this is not the first time the judgment has come in favor of Dhanush and the latest decision of the court could well put a total rest to this crisis.
On the professional front, Dhanush’s production banner, Wunderbar Films’ next film, Kaala, starring 'Superstar' Rajinikanth is slated to hit screens on April 27.
As for his acting projects, Dhanush is at present working on Maari 2 with Sai Pallavi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, which will arrive in theatres in the second half of this year.
The highly anticipated gangster action drama, Vada Chennai, under Vetrimaaran will feature him as a carrom champion and will come out on as a Ramzan release in June.
His Hollywood film, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, is awaiting its Indian release date, but will come out in France on May 30.

Furthermore, Dhanush had also confirmed to reunite with his Kodi director R. S. Durai Senthilkumar for a film, which we can expect to roll into production in the second half of the year.
