Post his Vikram Vedha, fans have been anticipating Madhavan’s next for quite some time.
Titled Breathe, this Amazon Prime Original series written and directed by Mayank Sharma reportedly tells the story of the murders of organ donors and has been produced by Abudantia Entertainment and stars Madhavan along with Amit Sadh, Sapna Pabbi, and Neena Kulkarni.
Breathe is yet another step away from the chocolate boy roles Madhavan has gone on to embrace throughout the majority of his career.
His role seems to be one that allows him a great scope of performance in line with his films in recent years namely Vikram Vedha and Irudhi Suttru.
In the teaser, Madhavan narrates how parents will resort to any action including becoming a 'monster' if the fate of their child is involved. There are glimpses of Madhavan and his son, who gets hospitalized as a result of an unrevealed serious problem. Then, we are shown Amit Sadh, Sapna Pabbi and their daughter, whose life appears to be in big danger.
Although we do not get an detailed look at Madhavan, we get the hint his role is going to be intense. The teaser has been designed in such a manner that the audience is teased on the gravity of danger that the characters are facing and the makers have done an excellent job in creating those moments with an apt background score. Breathe will be available on Amazon Prime for streaming starting January 26 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
