When it was announced last year that a sequel was under development for the hit 2015 film, Maari, the excitement was obvious.
Fast forward to 2018 and we are en route to production kicking off soon as the cast for Maari 2 announced includes Dhanush reprising his role from the original film alongside Sai Pallavi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the female leads, Tovino Thomas as the antagonist followed by Krishna Kulasekaran and Robo Shankar in supporting roles.

Balaji Mohan, who will wield the megaphone once again under Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films banner, have roped in Yuvan Shankar Raja for the music and the film has now added an illustrious name in the form of 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja.
Dhanush took to his Twitter page yesterday to announce that the 'Maestro' has sung a song in the film.
