Announced for an April 27 release date, Rajinikanth’s Kaala directed by Pa. Ranjith is one of the most exciting films coming out this year.

Produced under Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films banner with music by Santhosh Narayanan, Kaala has a massive star cast featuring names like Bollywood stars Nana Patekar as the antagonist and Huma Qureshi as the female lead followed by Shayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, Ravi Kale, Yatin Karyekar, Sakshi Agarwal along with Tamil stars Samuthirakani, Aravind Akash, Easwari Rao, Sukanya among others in vital supporting roles.

With the Tamil film industry going through a crisis at present in the form of the strike announced by the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) against the Digital Service Providers (DSPs), questions have been raised on whether the films announced to come out in theatres in the coming days would see the light of the day.

There were reports stating Kaala might be postponed to a different date owing to the films that have already been certified getting a first priority for release.

Likewise, if that were to be the case, then Kaala would most likely be coming out on a different date than the next month.

That being said, Kaala co-producers Lyca Productions made an announcement addressing the recent reports on the film’s new release date.

So, there you go, guys. Rajinikanth’s Kaala still stands for a release on April 27.
