With the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) strike called off, production on Vijay’s upcoming film, Thalapathy 62, under A. R. Murugadoss’s direction is expected to resume in the coming days.

Starring Keerthy Suresh as the female lead along with Yogi Babu in a supporting role, Vijay 62 being produced under the Sun Pictures banner was announced to be a Diwali release.

Furthermore, actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been cast in a vital role along with veteran actor Radha Ravi as the antagonist in the film featuring music by A. R. Rahman.

With production seeing a slight setback for well over a month due to the TFPC strike, it needs to be seen if the makers manage to go full throttle in their plans to get Thalapathy 62 out on the said date or whether they will shuffle their plans around.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced stating actor Livingston will be playing Keerthy Suresh’s father in Vijay 62.

It must be noted this isn’t the first time Livingston will be appearing in a Vijay film as he has starred alongside 'Thalapathy' on three previous occasions starting with Thirupaachi in 2005.

He was then seen playing actress Trisha’s father in Aathi in 2006.

The last time he appeared in a Vijay film was in Kaavalan in 2011.
