Laadam on February 6th

Laadam (also spelt as Ladam) –starring Aravind and Charmi in the lead and directed by Prabhu Solomon – will release on February 6th. Made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously, the film is about how a young man gets himself entangled in a messy situation because of his “loose talk”! The film has a racy screenplay and is indeed different from the rest. Why?! Because in Kollywood films, always the hero saves the heroine, but in Laadam, it is the heroine who is always bailing the battered hero out of trouble! Charmi plays the supportive girl who provides succour to hero Arvind, who talks himself into trouble!

Arvind has pulled off many daredevil stunts in the film andwas injured almost 30 times while doing the stunts! He broke his leg, injured his head, suffered severe bruises all over his body and even suffered gastroenteritis when he inadvertently swallowed some mud while filming a stunt scene in a slushy area! But he is ready to go to any extentfor audience applause that matters most!

Charmi not only provides support to the hero, she also provides the glamour quotient. A hot favourite in Andhra Pradesh, this young ladyis not just beautiful; she acts well too. She is counting on Laadam to make a comeback to Kollywood; she had acted in Kadhal Azhivathillai and Kadhal Kisu Kisu five years ago.

Laadam’s story and screenplay have been written by its director Prabhu, who directed some famous films including Kannodu Kanbathellam (Arjun-Sonali Bendre), King (Vikram-Sneha), Kokki (Karan-Pooja Gandhi) and Lee (Sibiraj-Nila).

The support cast of Laadam comprises Kota Srinivasa Rao, Manorama, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and Chitti Babu.

Music is by Dharan and lyrics are by Yugabharathi. The film is produced by J.P. Kumar and D.Y. Chowdary.

With a new screenplay and good acting from the lead pair, Laadam will definitely do well in Kollywood as well as Tollywood.
