All of a sudden, after a minor lull in the release of movies in Kollywood, 5 new films are hitting screens, this week alone! Movies like Attakathi and Naan, released on Independence Day, and have been doing very well. Following this, 3 other movies, Pandi Oliperukki Nilayam, Poovampatti and Edho Seidhai Ennai, released today. All of a sudden, there has been a major rush to release movies, and all 5 released this week, have no major stars. However, Attakathi and Naan, which released earlier than the other 3, have taken very good openings, and the business is expected to pick up over the weekend! Maybe, the lack of big star movies for competition has helped these movies! Good going K-town!
