Kanaa fame Darshan will next be seen in the jungle-based adventure film, Thumbaa, directed by debutante Harish Ram. This film will mark the silver screen debut of Keerthi Pandian, daughter of veteran actor and producer Arun Pandian. KPY fame Dheena will also be seen in a comical role in this film. With music scored by Santhosh Dhayanidhi, Vivek-Mervin, and Anirudh Ravichander, Thumbaa is all set to release on June 21.

Ahead of the film's release, the makers had a press interaction for the actors to share their experiences. Actress Keerthi Pandian broke down during her speech and it has happened for all the positive and inspiring reasons. Keerthi said, "Thumbaa is my first film. I feel blessed to make my debut with this film. The character I play in Thumbaa is something similar to my real life character and I was able to relate so much to it. Having worked in this film, I have found two good genuine friends in Darshan and Dheena. We have become such good friends."

While talking about director Harish, the talented newbie broke down into tears due to the incidents that she had undergone before coming up to this stage. She said, "I am so thankful to Harish. He was the first ever director who accepted me for who I am and the talent I possess. He never said a word about my physical appearance. Neither did he comment about my skin colour tone. I have been listening to many stories and meeting many directors, including the big league ones for the past three years.

I have faced a lot of rejections in these years. These directors would either ask me to put some weight or do something to improve my skin colour. I have faced bigger rejections that could totally bring down my energy. I have been demotivated and discouraged by many. But, until this moment, Harish has never uttered a word about anything of that sort. During the test shoot, I had a very bad confidence level and doubts on myself if I could pull this off. But, Harish had immense confidence in me. I will forever be grateful for what he has done."

Keerthi signed off her speech by reciting a line from one of Subramaniya Bharathiyar's poems. This speech from Keerthi received applause from the media people seated in the auditorium. Similarly, she has also received lots of support from the people on YouTube. Check her full speech here:
