Actor Karthi struck success big time last year with a solid performance in the action thriller, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru.
Karthi has since been preoccupied filming his next, Kadai Kutty Singam, being produced by his brother Suriya under the 2D Entertainment banner with Pandiraj in the director's chair.
With his portions in Kadai Kutty Singam said to be wrapped, the Madras star will begin work on the tentatively titled Karthi 17 under newcomer Rajath Ravishankar’s direction opposite Rakul Preet Singh once the ongoing TFPC strike is called off.
Meanwhile, reports surfaced last week stating Karthi had signed up for a project to be directed by director Ravi Udugala of the recent hit Telugu movie Needi Naadi Oke Katha.
Apparently, it was said the director had narrated a script to Karthi, who impressed by the script had given his nod to team up next after Karthi 17.
Karthi, on the other hand, has now issued an official clarification refuting the reports as baseless rumors and that no one had approached him for any Tamil-Telugu bilingual as being reported.
