Karthi attends Makkal Nalamantram
Karthi, following the footsteps of his father Sivakumar and elder brother Suriya, had forayed into social activities. He participated in a function of Makkal Nalamantram conducted at P.T. Thyagarajar Hall, T.Nagar. He distributed cycles to handicapped children and sewing machines to ladies.
Earlier in the day, Karthi participated in a blood donation campaign at Thiruvanmiyur and donated his blood. Then he went to YRG Care medical centre and gave a cheque for Rs. 50,000 to help AIDS-afflicted children.
He said that his father is invloved in Sivakumar Arakkalai, brother Suriya and sister-in-law Jothika are supporting Agaram Foundation and that inspired him to do something for unfortunate people. He expressed his hope that he will be able to do many more things for the welfare of society.

Karthi is currently acting in Aayirathil Oruvan directed by Selvaraghavan. His first film Paruthiveeran, which depicted a village theme has been a big hit.
