The official trailer of Kanchana 3, produced by Sun Pictures & Raghavendra Productions and directed by Raghava Lawrence, was released a little while back. This movie, the fourth in the Muni franchise and the third in the Kanchana franchise, stars Raghava Lawrence, Vedhika, Oviya and the series regulars - Kovai Sarala, Sriman & Devadarshini! This movie's first look motion poster showed Lawrence in a close-cropped white-haired getup and it remains the same all through the trailer too. The trailer opens with a view of a large mansion from outside its huge grille gates and then shows a gruesome hand! With a number of "Pakka Mass" action shots where Lawrence bashes up a number of baddies and with cheesy PUNCH dialogues, the trailer seems completely loaded for a full-on commercial bonanza!
The background score is heavy on the ears and the graphics seem a bit patchy in places. There is also a lot of spine-chilling jumps scares and shots of the lead ladies being terrified. A bloody and bruised Lawrence is seen furiously dancing to a fiery number and a herd of cows & a black horse are also seen charging madly into a palatial house!
Many horrifying ghostly appearances and Kabir Duhan Singh's menacing dialogue as an antagonist are other notable sequences from the trailer. Judging by the vast number of junior artistes used, extensive use of graphics and the extravagant sets erected, it looks like this movie has been made on a very huge budget and will have high production values.
Raghava Lawrence's last two movies - Motta Siva Ketta Siva & Sivalinga came in for only lukewarm response from the audiences but his previous movie in this franchise - Kanchana 2 became a blockbuster hit and a huge grosser! Lawrence will be looking to reprise the same success with this upcoming movie too!
