It has been a tense atmosphere across Tamil Nadu and especially Tuticorin, which has seen violence by the police department against the sterlite protesters leading to the death of many and also leaving several injured with actor turned politician Kamal Haasan being one of the first people to register his strong opinion against the act of the state government.
Likewise, with tension still quite high, reports surfaced yesterday evening stating internet connection in Tuticorin had been cut off for which the Makkal Needhi Maiam leader has once again slammed the present situation.
Taking to his Twitter page, Kamal tweeted:
Internet connection cut in Thooththukkudi? Alarming! What next? excommunicate Tamilnadu? TN would see an uprising, much bigger than any, in its history. No Government is strong enough to take on the might of my people.— Kamal Haasan (@ikamalhaasan) May 23, 2018
