Makkal Neethi Maiam president and actor Kamal Haasan has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support the flood relief procedures in the state.
Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan registered his gratitude on Facebook and said, “Kamal Haasan has understood the unprecedented situation in Kerala due to the floods, and has given Rs 25 lakh to the relief fund.”
Pinarayi Vijayan's Facebook post also said that Kamal Haasan has also urged his fans and the people of Tamil Nadu to contribute what they can to the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to help the flood situation.
Kerala flood has claimed the lives of 37 people so far and has left thousands of people homeless.
