Actor turned politician Kamal Haasan has for quite sometime voicing strong opinions against social issues among which the NEET exam too has been at the forefront of the discussion across Tamil Nadu.

After the Supreme Court rejected a petition which sought that CBSE allot centres to students from Tamil Nadu in the state itself and rather make them write the exams in Rajasthan and Kerala, Kamal Haasan has objected to the latest developments.

Taking to his Twitter page, Nammavar stated, "It is an injustice in the digital era to make students to write the NEET exams by asking them to travel all the way to Kerala and Rajasthan. Can’t they still write the exams here? Let the government do what is required now."

Kamal wasn’t the only popular name from the Tamil film industry to raise an objection to the issue as filmmaker Pa. Ranjith of Kabali and the upcoming Kaala fame too expressed his opinion on Twitter.

Pa. Ranjith stated, "The NEET exams are an injustice that students have to now face. These students who were fighting hard to scrap the exams are now put in a position where they are begging to be allowed to write it in their own states. The current tribulations the students are facing are all due to the sole actions of the Central Government under whose shadow the State Government is functioning."
