The Telugu title of Kaappaan was supposed to be revealed yesterday, the 27th of June by the Baahubali director, SS Rajamouli. But due to the unexpected demise of Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu's step-mother, the event was postponed for today, i.e., 28ht of June. And this morning promptly at 10 AM, it was announced that the Telugu title of the movie is Bandobast. Along with the title, Rajamouli also released the first look of the same. Suriya, being the male lead, thanked Rajamouli and expressed his gratefulness. Look for what they wrote, below!
The star cast of Bandobast includes Suriya, Sayyeshaa, Arya, Mohanlal, Bomman Irani, Chirag Jani, Poorna, Samuthirakani and Prem. Bandobast is a Harris Jayaraj musical, along with stunts choreographed by Peter Hein, camera cranked by MS Prabhu and editing handled by Anthony.
The lyrics are penned by Vanamali, the moves are choreographed by dance master Shobi and the bilingual is bankrolled by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions. The teaser of the Telugu movie is expected soon.
The Tamil title is named Kaappaan, and its teaser was released by the makers of the movie on the auspicious day of Tamil New Year, 14th of April which has over 13.5 million views on YouTube.
