A film that is being awaited by Suriya fans everywhere with much anticipation, Kaappaan, directed by KV Anand is gearing up for a massive release under the Lyca Productions banner. With the first single track “Sirikki” composed by Harris Jayaraj turning out to be a huge hit and broadcasting giant Sun TV acquiring the telecast rights of the film, all eyes are on the film hitting theatres on August 30. That said, Bollywood actor Chirag Jani, who plays the antagonist, took to his Twitter page to share his thoughts about Kaappan saying it is “exceptional, class and mass”.

Kaappaan includes a huge star cast apart from Suriya among whom are Sayyeshaa playing the female lead alongside Mohanlal, Arya, Samuthirakani, Shamna Kasim, Boman Irani in supporting roles. Expectations and the excitement around the film are high especially after an action-packed teaser had come out a couple of months. A while back, we had also revealed that the Kaappaan album will be released on July 23 on the occasion of Suriya’s birthday and we now await an official statement on the same in the days ahead. The film also marks the third time Suriya, KV Anand and Harris Jayaraj are working in the same film after their previous ventures, Ayan and Maattrraan.
