It was officially announced nearly 10 days back that actress Jyothika would be starring in the Tamil remake of the smash Bollywood hit film, Tumhari Sulu.

Released last year to both commercial and critical acclaim, Tumhari Sulu starred Vidya Balan in the lead role as a homemaker turned radio jockey.

The film showed how her character's life undergoes a major transformation after becoming an overnight sensation as a popular RJ.

To be directed by Radha Mohan and produced by Dhananjayan Govind, the Tumhari Sulu remake will roll into production in May with a sound technical team featuring names like National Award-winning editor Praveen KL and ace cinematographer Mahesh Muthuswami.

Meanwhile, during an exclusive interview with Galatta, the Tumhari Sulu remake producer Dhananjayan Govind revealed he was planning to get the film out into theatres in the month of September.

As of now, no title has been fixed, but reports in recent times have suggested the makers could be eyeing the title as Ungal Jo as a fan service to Jyothika's followers.
