As known already, National Award-winning filmmaker Bala’s upcoming film Naachiyaar featuring music by 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja has been announced for release on February 16.
There is quite a lot of excitement for Naachiyaar which has Jyothika playing a cop with GV Prakash as a youngster from the slums.
Naachiyaar ran into some controversy when the film’s teaser came out in November. In the teaser, Jyothika was seen speaking a dialogue which didn’t go well with a section of fans. However, in her response, the popular actor requested fans to watch the film before jumping to any conclusions.
Now, Jo has spoken in detail saying the dialogue became a controversy because it was spoken by a woman and that such dialogues uttered by male stars in other films didn’t generate such debate.
Furthermore, she added that her bold character in Naachiyaar is as such that it requires the dialogue to be spoken in a particular situation. She then went on to say fans will feel the dialogue is justified when they watch the film.
