One of the most consistent performers the Tamil cinema industry has been blessed with, actor Jyothika has once again lived up to her reputation with a stellar performance in director Bala’s Naachiyaar, which sees her in the role of a tough cop.

With praises coming in from all corners for her act in Naachiyaar, actor Jyothika is reported to have signed on to her next project, also said to be a women-centric film.

Apparently, this project is said to be a remake of the hit Bollywood film Tumhari Sulu starring Vidya Balan in the lead role as a homemaker turned radio jockey.

Furthermore, acclaimed filmmaker Radha Mohan, whom Jyothika had worked with in the 2007 hit film Mozhi is said to be taking over the directorial duties. As of now, an official announcement on the project is expected to come out soon.

Meanwhile, Jyothika is at present working in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer Chekka Chivantha Vaanam alongside Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rajesh, Arun Vijay and Aditi Rao Hydari.
