Jurassic World, the first installment in the Jurassic World trilogy released in 2015 went on to become a smashing box office success with worldwide collections of $1.6 billion.


An action adventure film, it followed the Jurassic Park trilogy in the 1990s and 2000s and the second installment in the Jurassic World trilogy titled Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is slated to arrive in theatres on June 22 this year.


Having said that, Universal Pictures has now announced the third installment in the Jurassic World trilogy will be coming out on June 11, 2021. The date was also revealed on Twitter by the first Jurassic World film’s director and Fallen Kingdom writer, Colin Trevorrow.

Incidentally, Colin Trevorrow will be penning the script for Jurassic World 3 with Emily Carmichael. He will also executive produce the third chapter along with Steven Spielberg, the filmmaker behind the Jurassic Park films.


Fans of the Jurassic films franchise sure have a lot to look out for in the next 3 years.
