If there’s one star who is testing not only his capabilities as an artist yet delivering films on a consistent basis, it is without a doubt Vijay Sethupathi.
Lovingly called by fans as ‘Makkal Selvan’, Vijay Sethupathi is at present busy with the promotions for his Junga releasing on July 27.
During an exclusive interview with Galatta, Vijay Sethupathi revealed he would like to avoid appearing in cameo roles hereafter since the makers of those films were using his name for promotions.
Vijay Sethupathi stated it is unfair to promote a film carrying his face on the poster when he is appearing for a minimal time on screen and wants to not mislead general filmgoers.
The talented actor added distributors have told him there are possibilities that two films carrying his face on the posters could be promoted in the same week with one of them featuring him in a cameo clashing with his full-length role.
He further said he only chooses films if those small roles interest him, but looking at the business front, he is now planning to reconsider the decision to appear in guest roles.
Junga directed by Gokul under the Vijay Sethupathi Productions banner with music by Siddharth Vipin includes actresses Sayyeshaa and Madonna Sebastian alongside Yogi Babu and Saranya Ponvannan in vital supporting roles.
