Kollywood's evergreen chocolate boy Prashanth celebrates his birthday today. The actor's last outing at the box office was Saahasam, a remake of Telugu film Julayi.

The handsome hunk made his debut with a Filmfare award-winning performance in Vaigasi Poranthachu (1990) and rose to the top Tamil actors' list with Thiruda Thiruda (2003), Jeans (1998) and Winner (2003). Prashanth is the son of popular actor-director Thiagarajan. Prashanth began his acting career with boy-next-door roles. His boyish charm won over the gals and he was quite the rage. He gradually moved on to more mature characters, but the lover-boy image stuck. In spite of his powerful performances in Majnu, Appu, Winner and Thamizh, he made a name for himself with his roles in romantic flicks such as Jodi, Kannedhire Thondrinaal, Kadhal Kavidhe, Parthen Rasithen and Jeans.

We at Galatta.com wish him a happy birthday and all the very best in his future projects.
