Billed as a kids fantasy horror film, Sangu Chakkaram directed by debutant Maarison with Dhilip Subbarayan and Punnagai Poo Gheetha as the leads and produced under the Leo Vision and Cinemawala Pictures banner released in theatres yesterday.

With the response to the film being largely positive among the child demography, Sangu Chakkaram includes one interesting aspect that many horror films in the past haven’t been able to work on. What clicks in favor of the film is the non-inclusion of a flashback portion explaining how the ghosts came to be. No other film has been able to tread down this path and this helps it be a standout in the genre.
