One of the biggest and most exciting projects, Indian 2 will kick-off production from the first week of January 2019 with Kamal Haasan and director Shankar reuniting after a gap of 22 years. Being produced by Lyca Productions with music by Anirudh Ravichander, the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster, Indian, includes Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead while Ravi Varman is the cinematographer and T. Muthuraj oversees the art direction department.
That said, Kajal Aggarwal recently posted a picture of her preparation for Indian 2 on her Instagram stories where it was revealed she is currently learning the history of Kalari fight and in particular the 'Marma treatment', a technique that was adopted by the older Kamal Haasan in the 1996 original film.
It must be noted the Varma Kalai technique was one of the key highlights in Indian and it will be interesting to see Kajal Aggarwal specializing the Kalaripayattu Indian martial art.
