Simbu's long-delayed Idhu Namma Aalu is all set to hit the screens this Friday. The actor has assured that the film will be a different one from his earlier ones. "The film has no fight scenes, no introduction song, and even the special number 'Maaman Waiting' isn't as glamorous as how such songs are usually shot. In a way, it's a risk that I'm doing this project but I still chose to do it because of its story," he was quoted saying.

Written and directed by Pandiraj, the film stars Simbu's ex-girlfriend Nayantara and has been facing delays for quite a long time. The film also has Andrea, Soori and Santhanam in pivotal roles. Produced by STR's father, T. Rajendar, the film is the debut venture of STR's brother Kuralarasan as a music director.
