We are now witnessing the countdown to Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Kaala, scheduled to hit screens on June 7.
A gangster action drama, Kaala directed by Pa. Ranjith under Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films banner will see Rajinikanth fight for Tamil people in the Dharavi slum of Mumbai and will have plenty of political elements with the film’s plot mainly addressing inequality.
Meanwhile, reports have now surfaced stating actress Huma Qureshi will be playing Rajinikanth’s love interest in the film as a 45-year old woman named Zareena, whose relationship with him in the film is said to be special.
As known already, actress Easwari Rao plays Rajinikanth’s wife alongside Samuthirakani as the aide of the 'Superstar' and Nana Patekar as the antagonist named Hari Dada.
On the other hand, Kaala has received a 'U/A' certificate by the censor board with the film’s runtime revealed to be at 2 hours 46 mins 59 seconds.
