One up-and-coming actress who has charmed her way into the hearts of youngsters everywhere in recent times is Megha Akash after being announced to be part of hit director Gautham Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota. Although Dhanush’s romantic action thriller is yet to see the light of the day in theatres, the rising star has since gone on to appear in a few other films alongside top stars that include Rajinikanth’s Petta, Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven with STR, Boomerang opposite Atharvaa and the yet-to-be-released Oru Pakka Kathai opposite Kalidas Jayaram in Tamil. Now, Megha Akash is said to have been approached to be part of ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film, tentatively titled VSP 33, to be directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roghanth. She has been roped in to replace actress Amala Paul in the film after the latter opted out citing dates and call sheet issues and an official statement is expected to be made soon.

VSP 33 being produced under Esakki Durai’s Chandaraa Arts banner featuring music by Nivas K. Prasannaa will incidentally also mark the acting debut of hit director Magizh Thirumeni, who is known among fans for making films like Thadaiyara ThaakkaMeaghamann and most recently the critical and commercial hit, Thadam. Billed to be a big budget blockbuster, filming on VSP 33 is already underway at Palani with the next schedule planned to take place at Ooty.

As for Megha Akash’s other projects, she is all set to make her debut in Bollywood in the film, Satellite Shankar, opposite Sooraj Pancholi and alongside Shiva Kandukuri in Manu Charitra in Telugu. VSP 33 will be the second time the actress will be seen in a Vijay Sethupathi film, after her role in Petta, which saw the versatile star in an anti-hero role.
